System: Tamaron

Controlled solely by Clan Coyote, Tamaron is the Coyote's capital. The Texas class Ancestral Home is assigned to the Tameron system, where it has served as a permanent sentry since the catastrophic failure of its KF drive a hundred years ago. It has since been upgraded with additional armor and weapons, and is used as a training ship for naval crews.

The world is also home to the Coyote's totem animal. This adaptable canine is slightly larger and more intelligent than its terrestrial progenitors. Coyote's sometimes form "hunting partnerships" with other predators.

[3067] Jade Falcon warriors, seeking to gain honor whilst their brother fought bravely in the Inner sphere, looked toward Tamaron as easy pickings. With the Coyote’s caught in the middle of a power vacuum formed by the recent death of Khan Sullivan Koga (whilst securing further ProtoMech information and resources on Huntress in late 3062), the Falcons able land nearly unopposed and fought hard to gain a foothold on the world, taking possession of the Landen ‘Mech Production Complex in the first few days.

That action sent a shudder throughout Clan Coyote and nearly drove its warriors into a suicidal furor until then-Galaxy Commander Raven Clearwater united the clans disparate factions to battle the invading Falcons. The Jade Falcons were turned back in two short and decisive battles led by Khan Kufahl and Galaxy Commander Clearwater.

Shortly thereafter, the two Coyote leaders, who had opposed each other for years, fought a Trial that became a proxy for any other Coyote wishing to challenge their Khan. Kufahl won by a narrow margin – his ‘mech was disabled in the final salvo of the battle, whilst his own last shot destroyed Clearwater’s fusion engine.

Clearwater was confirmed as saKhan the same day. Now, four years later the two have continued the work that Sullivan Koga began, completing the Coyote Touman and instilling a new sense of purpose and discipline in the Clan’s warriors.
